LOCOMOTOR SYSTEM (FIRST SEMESTER) Osteology: morphology of the human skeleton,. Axial skeleton, skull, upper and lower limb skeleton . Classification of joints. Kind of movement admitted in joints. Articulations of the skull and trunk,of the upper extremity and of the lower extremity. Myology: tendons, aponeuroses, and fascić. The muscles of the vertebral region of the neck and trunk. The muscles of the thorax and abdomen, of the upper and lower extremities. NEUROANATOMY (SECOND SEMESTER) Sensory receptors (exteroceptors, interoceptors and proprioceptors), neurons, glia, myelin and synapses. Structure and organization of the nervous system. Autonomic organization of the neural system The spinal cord, the hindbrain, the midbrain and the forebrain. Composition and central connections of the cranial and spinal nerves. Pathways from the brain to the spinal cord. The meninges of the brain and medulla spinalis. The cerebrospinal fluid. The cranial and spinal nerves. The sympathetic nerves. The organs of the senses (taste, smell, sight, hearing) and the common integument. Vascularization of the brain and medulla spinalis. Suggested books: Gray’s Anatomy, Churchill-Livingstone eds. Atlas: Netter, Elsevier ed Exams are divided in two parts: a written quiz- based test for theLocomotor system and a written quiz-based test for Neuroanatomy (considered as exonerations at the end of each lesson cycle). Each exoneration will be concluded by an oral discussion.
